Eligibility of Use
All active duty, retired military members and their families, DoD civilians and students taking classes on Keesler AFB are eligible to use the library collection. Present your military or college ID at the circulation desk and complete a registration form.

FREE High-Speed Cable Internet, Email & Wi-Fi
 - 40 computers available for use with Microsoft Vista and Microsoft Office 2007.
 - Wi-Fi available 24 hours, obtain password at the circulation desk.
 - All computers are CAC enabled to check AF email.
 - One hour time limit as needed.

McBride library now has an assortment of video games including Max Payne 3, Just Dance 4, Madden NFL 13, Black Ops II, Halo 4, Sniper Elite V2, Far Cry 3 and many more that can be checked out.  We have several games for PS3, Wii, and Xbox for children through adults.

United Through Reading
Being away from our littlest loved ones is never easy. This free program offers parents and grandparents a way to stay connected while being apart. Family members are privately recorded to DVD while reading a children's book to their favorite little one(s). DVDs and mailing envelopes will be provided. Participants must have base access. We've got Playaways: the first self-playing digital audio book!!
Half the size of a deck of cards, Playaway is the simplest way to listen to digital content on the go. It comes with the audio content already pre-loaded. Using clearly marked buttons, Playaway gives listeners the ability to move back and forth within or between chapters and alter the speed of a narrator’s voice. Book Borrowing Policy
Regular book & non-book items:     2 weeks
Periodicals:                                      1 week
Renewal by phone or in person for two weeks, as long as item(s) is/are not past due.
No overdue renewals.
NOTE: Check out limit of 10 children's books per family.

Interlibrary Loan (ILL)
A free service providing registered library users the opportunity to request books, magazines and articles, not currently in the base library inventory, from other libraries associated with the program.   Three outstanding requests allowed per person.  
Requests must be made in writing - no phone requests are accepted.  Provide as much detail as possible when filling out the request form, including a current local phone number.
It may take as long as two weeks for an item to arrive.  Customers are required to check with the library within two weeks of the time they placed the request.  The library will make two attempts to contact the patron when their item has been received.  If not picked up after the second attempt, it will be returned. 
Items may be renewed one time depending on the lending library's policies.  Overdue items are not eligible for renewal and must be returned promptly.

How to Get a Library Card
To obtain a library card, you will need to know the following information:
- Sponsor’s Name
- Sponsor's Mailing Address (if TDY, home base)
- Sponsor’s Organization/Duty Section
- Sponsor’s Duty Phone/Home Phone
- Sponsor’s Military and/or personal email address
Additionally:
- If TDY: estimated departure date is required
- If US Navy assigned to a ship: street address, verifiable for mail delivery, is required
