Transition Assistance Program (TAP) Workshop
8 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 9-13. Mandatory for all separating and retiring military members. This workshop is designed to ease the transition from military to civilian life. Topics include personal financial readiness,
personal appraisal, career decisions, resume writing, applying for jobs, VA benefits and more!

Heartlink Spouse Orientation
8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. June 2, learn about your new base and AF traditions, customs and protocols. Limited child care available for AF families.


Preseparation Counseling
Tuesdays, 9 a.m. for those separating and 1 p.m. for those retiring. Mandated for all separating and retiring; prerequisite for Transition GPS attendance and highly encouraged for all potentially impacted by Force Management.

Supports in and outbound military families with school transfers. The SLO can provide school ratings, coordinate in-person visits and assist families with special education needs in all seven coastal school districts.

This free program, now available through A&FRC, offers parents and grandparents a way to stay connected while being apart. Family members are privately recorded to DVD while reading a children’s book to their favorite little one(s). DVDs and mailing envelopes are provided. Participants must have base access. Call to schedule.

NPS Airmen Separate Rations Brief
9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Wednesdays at the A&FRC Annex, Levitow, room 134.  Mandatory for any NPS airman who would like to reside outside of the dormitories during technical training. Call 377-0155 to register.

Two trained professionals are here to listen and help service members and their family with issues such as marriage/relationship, parenting/sibling and family, deployment/reintegration, depression, grief/loss and other concerns. Consultations are free and anonymous – no records are kept. For questions or to schedule an appointment, call (228) 365-5834 or 365-5927.

Private, one-on-one financial appointments are available for all active duty, retirees and DoD civilians.  First Term Airmen and NPS Students (more than 20 weeks) receive a Car Care Voucher upon completion of the appointment.
